ASICS GT-2000 v12 Trail
Features
The ASICS GT-2000 v12 Trail combines lightweight comfort and stability with a durable and grippy trail outsole, so you can take your runs off-road.
This shoe can take you from road to trail and back again. The cushioning has been updated to make it softer and bouncier than before, while added stability elements—such as a wider base and increased heel bevel—help those with flexible arches or who overpronate have a smooth and stable ride. The outsole’s hybrid tread pattern gives you traction for the trails, but isn’t so clunky that it feels uncomfortable running on the roads.
Features
- Upper: Jacquard mesh upper gives you support and comfort. It also has an improved lean back Achilles construction around the heel to prevent any irritation and make it easier to take on and off.
- Midsole: FF Blast Plus™ cushioning creates a softer overall feel while producing a more energetic toe-off. ASICS PureGEL™ technology in the rearfoot helps for softer and smoother transitions.
- Stability: ASICS’ 3D Guidance System™ includes a wider base, an increased heel bevel and an increased forefoot flare. This creates advanced stability for those who overpronate and gives you smooth transitions.
- Outsole: A hybrid trail/road tread pattern is built into the outsole so you can run wherever the wind takes you.

What’s New
This has been the year for major changes to ASICS shoes and the GT-2000 v12 Trail is no exception. ASICS added the FF Blast™ Plus cushioning to the new version, making it softer underfoot and giving it more energy at toe-off. Plus, they added 1 mm of additional midsole stack height. Designers updated the gel cushioning in the heel to their PureGEL™ technology which provides advanced impact absorption. smoother transitions and is 65% softer than the gel used in previous versions.
ASICS updated the stability technology in their 3D Guidance System™, which includes a wider base, a full-ground contact design and an increased heel bevel/forefoot flare to give you smooth transitions.
They also made the upper sleeker and more modern, including redesigning the heel with a lean-back Achilles construction that flares to reduce irritation against the back of the foot.
