- Upper: An engineered mesh upper provides comfort and breathability, while a refined molded heel collar provides for a comfortable, secure fit. This has Altra’s Standard Footshape™ Fit that is wider in the toe box to give your toes plenty of room to move.
- Midsole: Altra’s Ego™ midsole cushion provides plenty of comfort, while being lightweight. This shoe’s balanced cushioning (or a 0mm heel to toe drop) has the same amount of cushioning in the heel and forefoot to let you run naturally.

The 8 is different than the 7.
I do have a unique foot to fit. Women’s 11 narrow 2nd toe longer than 1st. The 7’s were perfect for me. The 8’s are not quite the same. I’ve worn the 8’s on a 3 miler and a 10 miler and I can’t figure out just what the difference is other that a little second toe rub on my right foot which according to my foot scan just shouldn’t be. I had high hopes but I think I need to go back to the drawing board for a good pair of shoes.

Loved the Provision 7 so i tried the 8’s. The shoe feels bigger and heel constantly lifting.
